Prof. Dr Francis Limbach a été admis en qualité d'avocat en 2002. Il a d'abord travaillé au French Desk d'un cabinet d'avocats international à Francfort et dispose d'une longue expérience en tant qu'expert juridique et conseiller dans les domaines du droit commercial, du droit des sociétés, du droit successoral et du droit international privé. Il compte parmi ses clients des entreprises allemandes et françaises, des cabinets d'avocats et des associations professionnelles. Il est actuellement co-directeur général de la filiale allemande d'un groupe français.
Francis Limbach est notamment consultant en droit privé français et a été mandaté dans de nombreuses procédures en tant qu'expert judiciaire pour rédiger des avis juridiques sur le droit français. Il est habilité à exercer la profession d'avocat en France.
Francis Limbach est juriste allemand et diplômé en droit français. Il a obtenu un doctorat en droit dans une université française et a été habilité à diriger des recherches dans une université allemande. Francis Limbach est également l'auteur de nombreuses publications spécialisées dans des maisons d'édition allemandes et françaises. Il est professeur à l'université Christian-Albrechts de Kiel et chargé de cours en droit des affaires allemand à l'université de Strasbourg.

German-French joint venture between maexpartners GmbH & Theano Advisors SAS
Our Partner Dr Christian Franz has advised (with his former law firm) maexpartners GmbH on the establishment of a joint venture with Theano Advisors SAS in France and in Germany. maexpartners GmbH is a German management consultancy focused on industry and high technology, and is particularly active in the operational area.
The transaction involved the establishment of a joint consulting company in France under the name maexpartners SAS, as well as the opening of another joint consulting company in Germany under the name Theano Advisors GmbH. Both consulting companies will be "staffed" exclusively with binational teams, and will place their operational and strategic expertise at the service of large international clients.

DFA assisted German client to enforce loan repayment by a French Bank
DFA attorneys obtain enforcement of claim for loan repayment by French bank under a French notarized loan agreement, making use of the fact that payment claims under a deed notarised in France constitute an enforceable title under the Brussels I and Brussels Ia Regulation, without having to have recourse to the courts first. Within days of receiving copy of the deed declared enforceable by the competent German court, the debtor paid of the entire amount plus cost.
